About Far Homes
Far Homes wants to make buying a home in another country as easy as buying a home down the street. Founded by experienced real estate technology executives in the US, Far Homes is changing real estate by simplifying the international home-buying experience and making it easy to find and buy homes in other countries, starting with Mexico.
At Far Homes, we connect interested potential homebuyers to a network of local real estate agents in Mexico who help them find their dream home. We’ve helped thousands of homebuyers since we started and rapidly grown our network of real estate agents. We are now looking for someone to continue to scale our real estate agent network by taking over sales from our CEO.
In this role, you will:
Bring new real estate agent customers to Far Homes: You’ll generate prospects through a combination of cold outreach and inbound inquiries, then systematically nurture that pipeline with targeted follow-ups. You’ll effectively communicate Far Homes’ value proposition and differentiation to potential customers and close them in order to hit monthly sales targets.
Report insights back to the team. As the direct line to customers, you’ll share insights, questions and concerns from customers back to the team to help us shape our offerings to agents and grow the business.
Utilize a mix of tools to prioritize and support your sales approach, including Pipedrive CRM, Airtable and others. You’ll both gain insights from these tools and enter detailed customer data each week.
Improve the sales process as we scale, such as by crafting presentations and materials to enable a better sales process.
Give input on products and services we develop to help customers. You’ll help the team understand how new ideas will help (or not help) the agents you’re talking to each day.
Desired qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably selling marketing, advertising or lead generation services.
Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Not only will you need to articulate Far Homes’ value proposition effectively to customers, but proactive communication is needed to thrive in our remote-first company.
Strong willingness to and comfort with conducting cold outreach.
Outstanding listening and problem-solving skills, to understand and help solve any concerns or questions from prospective customers.
Integrity when it comes to sales and our customers. We pride ourselves on delivering above and beyond what we promised to our customers. No dishonest sales tactics or promises here.
Experience working in an environment where you have to self-start and find solutions to problems as they arise.
No real estate licensing required, but prior experience working with or as a real estate agent, particularly in Mexico, is a plus.
Experience working at a company with an international presence is a plus.
The qualifications listed here are desired, not required! If you’re excited about this role, we’d love for you to apply even if your experience doesn’t perfectly match the job description. We believe it’s the unique experiences, diverse backgrounds, and different ways of thinking that make a great team, so you may be the right candidate for this role even if you don’t check every box on the list.
Some reasons why you may want to join our small team:
Build from the ground up: If you’ve ever wanted to create something phenomenal from an early stage, this is your shot. Our team is small and every person has an important role and a voice in shaping our future.
Remote-first, four-day workweek, and an emphasis on balance: Balance is baked into our company’s DNA as much as hard work, and we’re excited to offer a remote-first culture and four day workweeks. This is a core part of Far Homes. So is a culture of ownership, hard work, and ambition. “Balance” to us means holding both these truths at the same time; there will be weeks that require less work, and times when, to be successful, you’ll have to put in extra time or respond to texts/calls/emails outside of normal working hours.
Benefits: Salary, commissions and equity. 100% employer-paid-for medical insurance (50% for dependents), dental and vision insurance. Unlimited sick days.
